You might want to browse around the net and learn how html works. What you’re doing is not the correct method of making webpages. Your links are incorrect as they are in a incorrect format. HTML has come to the point where HTML based applications such as Dreamweaver can really do everything. But you still need a basic understanding of how html works. Just slapping images on there isn’t going to work. Especially considering you want to attempt placing text on top of a image..

I’d recommend browsing around the net and learning how html works and follow some guides to understand it and learn it. Also, getting a application that can do the html for you is also great…But you still need to learn the application. Dreamweaver is a fantastic program but it does indeed cost money to buy..There should be some free solutions somewhere out there for you to use…Although they won’t be as effective.
